Today was truly magical. From the moment we arrived at the Blue Door Pool House in South Haven, Michigan, it felt like stepping into a world of pure relaxation and joy.
First, the house itself is breathtaking—spacious, welcoming, and a perfect blend of luxury and comfort. Since we’re a group of 12, there’s more than enough room for everyone to unwind and find their own cozy corner. Personally, I’ve already claimed my favorite spot: a second-floor room near the seating area that overlooks the backyard. Without a doubt, it’ll be my little morning coffee nook.
Next, let me talk about the kitchen. Inspiring enough to plan a big feast for tomorrow. For tonight, though, we kept things simple and enjoyed a casual dinner around the large dining table. As we ate, the room filled with laughter and togetherness, creating an atmosphere that felt like home.
After dinner, we headed to the backyard, and honestly, it truly felt magical. The heated, in-ground pool was impossible to resist, so we spent hours swimming and lounging under the warm evening sky. Later on, we moved to the hot tub, soaking in its warmth as the crisp night air set in. Meanwhile, the stars shone so brightly, and the crackling fire pit added an extra layer of tranquility to the moment.
Meanwhile, the kids—and, let’s be honest, the adults too—quickly found the basement to be their new favorite spot. It’s an absolute haven for fun with ping pong, foosball, a dartboard, and a cozy TV setup. Unsurprisingly, we’ve already started keeping score for tomorrow’s games. On top of that, it’s the perfect rainy-day escape, although we’ve been lucky with great weather so far.
Every corner of the house is packed with charm. From whimsical play spaces for the kids to the claw-foot bathtub everyone’s been raving about, it’s clear that every detail is designed to make you feel at ease.
Now, as I sit here writing, I can hear the soothing hum of the hot tub outside and the soft chatter of friends in the living room. Already, the Blue Door Pool House has made its mark on our hearts, and we still have days ahead to create even more memories.
